New Orleans Recovery Volunteer Opportunity

On Saturday, March 10, following the close of the conference, we will spend a full day helping to rebuild a local New Orleans neighborhood. Working under the auspices of Catholic Charities and possibly other local organizations, volunteers will have the chance to view Hurricane Katrina’s human impacts first-hand and contribute to the continuing recovery efforts.

For a sense of what you may be doing, please read an American Hospital Association employee's account of her recent volunteer experience in New Orleans.

If you are interested in joining us, email Jutka Mandoki at jmandoki@aha.org, and include "New Orleans Volunteer" in the subject line. You will then be notified with more details as they become available.
