David Broder
Political Correspondent
The Washington Post

National Policy Perspectives on Community Health

David Broder will address timely topics in national policy as they relate to community health, just four months after the 2004 Presidential and Congressional elections. He will share his unique and informed insight into the current policy environment, and the opportunities and challenges it holds for health care, community and public health leaders working to improve health status and to create better systems for prevention, coverage, access and care. (Read a recent article by David Broder on health insurance proposals.)

Mr. Broder is a national political correspondent reporting the political scene for The Washington Post.  His column is carried by more than 300 newspapers. Broder is a regular commentator on CNN's “Inside Politics,” and makes regular appearances on NBC's “Meet the Press” and “Washington Week in Review.”

Mr. Broder has been rated “Washington's most highly regarded columnist” for “overall integrity, factual accuracy and insight” by the Washingtonian, which has characterized him as “out with the people; no one gets a better sense of the pulse of American opinion,” making him an excellent choice for the community-based flavor of Community Health Solutions.
