A Consensus Policy Proposal to Cover the Uninsured, and a Consumer Advocate's Perspective
|
Ron Pollack
Founding Executive Director
Families USA
Washington, DC
In a session not to be missed, national health care coverage champion Ron Pollack will present key elements of the Health Coverage Coalition for the Uninsured's new consensus proposal to cover a significant portion of America's 47 million uninsured.
The Coalition is a diverse group of national advocacy organizations with usually different viewpoints - including Mr. Pollack's Families USA, America's Health Insurance Plans, American Medical Association, American Hospital Association, Catholic Health Association and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Learn why and how these disparate health care players came together to encourage Congressional action now.
Mr. Pollack, a veteran national consumer advocate, will also share key pillars of Families USA's own coverage agenda and the urgency and feasibility of acting now for the people of our country. (See Mr. Pollack's complete bio.)
